CP Distributors has a current opening for an aspiring and entrepreneurial business leader for the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the C-Suite.

CP Distributors is a trusted, value-added business partner in the construction industry and is dedicated to being the leading supplier of Commercial Doors, Frames, Finish Hardware and Specialties, Integrated Security Systems, and the service and installation of these products.

The position is full-time and, can be located anywhere in North America, preference will be given to candidates located within proximity of our branches across Canada.

CP has grown extensively over the last several years and has an aggressive growth plan for the next 5 years. The COO will be responsible for supporting and contributing to achieving these corporate goals.

As a collaborative C-Suite member, the COO is a key member of the executive management team responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving strategic growth, and fostering the CPD culture. 

The COO is responsible to:

• Assume leadership of core operations ensuring that CPD’s people, policies, processes, and technologies enable operation success;
• Effectively translate the strategic vision into operational objectives and establish key performance indicators;
• Drive top-line revenue growth in strategic pursuits and opportunities;
• In collaboration with the CFO, manage accountability and practices across branches to achieve targeted bottom-line profitability;
• Lead by example, providing coaching and support to Branch Management in the execution of strategy and day to day operations;
• Contribute to the establishment of talent and culture practices that support operational objectives and strategic advantage;
• Evaluate supply chain management practices ensuring CPD can execute efficiently on commitments.

Your Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive private enterprise experience including 5+ years in a senior leadership role;
• University degree or equivalent post-secondary education with extensive commercial construction, project management, and/or leadership experience;
• Strong background and foundation in commercial construction management, project management, and ideally experience with Divisions 8, 10, and 28.
