Project Coordinator

 As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible to:

• Look after the day-to-day responsibilities of the project and ensure timely communication to the project manager and team;
• Accurately prepare detailed shop drawings and schedules using architectural drawings and hardware detailing as per specifications;
• Coordinate project hardware, estimating, material, and quantity take-off;
• Manage the logistics of moving goods from the vendor to the General Contractor;
• Maintain ongoing communication with construction project managers and site superintendents;
• Monitor and report all information to the project manager regarding ordering, supply, progression, and coordination of products;
• Coordinate project documentation, change orders, technical drawings, progress claims, and quality control documentation in support of the project life cycle;
• Constantly update product knowledge;
• Provide exceptional communication, and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Take a proactive and professional approach to troubleshooting and have strong organizational abilities.

 Your Experience:

• Ideally, you will bring a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial construction or building supply industry;
• Proven ability to apply technical knowledge and code requirements associated with production and review of technical drawings;
• Foundational experience and knowledge of Division 8 and 10 scopes of work, specifically with building openings (doors, frames, and hardware) is considered a strong asset;
• Architectural technology background is considered an asset;
• CET designation and/or AHC credentials are considered an asset.
